Auburn, Alabama is small-town cute but with a double espresso shot. AKA: The hustle and bustle of a college town is REAL. Plus, it’s also part of a bigger metro area, Auburn-Opelika. And how better to capture the small-town faves then via Instagram? L&L has compiled a list of our favorite spots to get the best #instapics

- most instagrammable spots -

  1. Samford Hall (An Auburn campus classic, you can't miss the photo op at Samford. Out-of-towners - did you even visit if you didn't snap a pic at Samford?).

  2. Toomer's Corner (One of Auburn's most famous traditions - don't forget to grab a refreshing glass of lemonade!). Head towards the J&M bookstore from Toomer’s Corner and you’ll run into the famous “GO TIGERS” painted wall. Classic Auburn photo op.

  3. Jordan-Hare Football Stadium (SEC FOOTBALL). The lawn across from the Student Center + corner across from the baseball stadium make for some great pics.

  4. The Red Barn. Otherwise known as Ag Heritage Park. Located on the edge of Auburn’s campus, this spot is PERFECT for picnics. It has a pond, picnic tables, shady trees and, of course, a red barn for a backdrop. We love to picnic + bocce ball it here.

  5. Railroad Tracks in Downtown Opelika (With ties back to the Civil War era, we can't get over how much we love a good train track photo). Walking around downtown, you’ll find plenty of photo ops with all of the historic buildings.

  6. The foodie spots (AKA: Acre, Lucy’s, The Depot, Midtown, etc.). There are so many fun restaurants in town that are gorgeously designed. Snap and pic and order some delicious food. For a list of my favorite dinner spots, check out my full Auburn-Opelika travel guide AND my cocktail guide.

  7. Opelika Murals. The Bless You Wall is located on the side of the Southerly Warehouse in Opelika (offers a fun pop of color blended with one of the south's favorite colloquialisms); the Yellow Umbrella and Butterfly Wings are located on the corner of N Railroad Ave and 8th Street.

  8. Chewacla State Park (An easy hike for some great waterfall views)! Alabama gets LUSH in the spring / summertime, so the park really thrives during these seasons. The Chewacala State Park Trail Loop will take you to the waterfall!

  9. The Collegiate Hotel Rooftop. Pair a view of Samford with an Auburn sunset and you’ve got a dreamy photo op. (P.S. This is where George and I got engaged!).

  10. The Well. This coffee shop is located in downtown Opelika and is literally the definition of #aesthetic (fully designed, owned and operated by women, so of course it’s gorgeous).

All of these places and spaces will make for beautiful squares. For further instagrammable spots, check out my travel guide to Auburn-Opelika. #instafamous
