Third Trimester Favorites from a First-Time Mama

Sharing my third trimester favorite products as a first-time mama! Obviously, I am no pro when it comes to pregnancy. Although, I’m not so sure anyone could be a “pro” because each pregnancy seems so different. When I first discovered I was pregnant with our little girl, I googled the HECK out of some first, second and third trimester favorite products. What would help make the process easier? What products were worth the investment and which were more budget friendly options? I’ve created a list of some of my third trimester favorites - hopefully this helps out another mama-to-be! … one thing I didn’t list that would be helpful are tissues. I can’t watch a movie or scroll through social media without crying at the first sign of something cute and baby-related.

third trimester faves from a first-time mom

Hill House Ellie Dress. Hill House. Investment piece that is WELL WORTH the investment. I own the black and navy wrinkle resistant dresses and have been wearing them on repeat. I actually own a lavender-colored Hill House dupe that I LOVE; however, it didn’t stretch with me like the Hill House dresses did. If you’re looking for something you can wear pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and post-pregnancy, this dress is IT.

Honest Mama Belly Oil. Target. I was gifted this belly oil by my sweet sister-in-law when we announced to the family that we were expecting! I’ve been using it A LOT recently as my belly has gotten bigger and bigger. It’s great for helping out with dry skin and (hopefully) stretch marks.

BLANQI Belly Short. BLANQI. These pregnancy biker shorts and leggings are amazing. I have both and snagged them early on in my pregnancy during a sale. They are the only things I wear to exercise (or lounge) right now!

High-Waisted Yoga Shorts. Amazon. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly biker short option, look no further! These biker shorts are ~$23, so I ordered a couple of different sizes as the belly started to grow. I’m also hoping to wear these postpartum.

Stanley 40oz Tumbler. Academy. Hydration is KEY during pregnancy.

LMNT Hydration Packets. Amazon. See above.

True and Co Bralette. Nordstrom. SURPRISE! Your rib cage starts stretching out in order to make room for the baby, so having undergarments that don’t feel like you’re wearing a boa constrictor around your lungs is clutch.

LAKE Flutter Sleeve Nightgown. LAKE. Anything with a waistband quickly loses it’s appeal in the third trimester (it started for me in the 2nd trimester). Having a nightgown to sleep in is lovely and so much more comfortable. Find a cheaper (and very soft) alternative HERE!

Full Body Pillow. Amazon. I literally cannot sleep without my body pillow.

Babyletto Rocker. Target. Sitting in the nursery, propping my feet up on our leather pouf, and rocking in our rocker is one of my favorite things to do right now. I just sit there and imagine holding our little girl! It’s easy to get sentimental in the nursery *cue the tissues*

Polaroid Camera. Target. We’ve been taking photos of my bump progress during our whole pregnancy. These are going to be precious memories for us looking back on this time in our lives!

extra third trimester faves

Prenatal Massage. I could not recommend this enough for expecting mamas. I had a LOVELY and relaxing experience out at RTJ (check it out HERE). Just sitting in silence and listening to spa music helps my heart rate calm down. BONUS: RTJ will give you a coupon card to come back for a mimosa and access to their whirlpool + IR sauna if you book a prenatal massage!

Lisa Flom’s Instagram Account. She shares tips about “things I wish I knew as a first-time mom” … lots of hacks on best ways to utilize bottle brushes and sooth the teething process.

Baths. Lukewarm, of course. But wow it was so nice to feel weightless and read a book while floating in the tub.

Air conditioning. A third trimester summer is insane. You’re constantly overheated, so air conditioning is KEY. I’ve been cranking it down a little bit more lately in order to regulate my body temperature.

If there are third trimester favorites I should include on my list, be sure to send me a DM on Instagram!
