If you’re dreaming of slower mornings and cooler weather, head for the hills. Highlands and Cashiers offer the kind of charm that begs you to unplug and settle into the rhythm of mountain life. We loved spending lazy afternoons by the fire during nap time and letting Addy run wild on the open green spaces.

I’ve actually never visited Saint Simons Island, but it’s on my list. A quiet coastal gem that feels like it moves at a slower pace, Saint Simons offers wide beaches, breezy bike rides, and plenty of room for kiddos to explore. It’s the perfect blend of low-key beach trip and Southern charm.
