Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Every Budget (Because She Deserves the World)

Whether you’re shopping for your mom, mother-in-law, a new mama friend, or the woman who’s always treated you like her own, finding the perfect Mother’s Day gift can feel like a lot of pressure. But here’s the truth: it doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful. And whatever your price point may be: it’s truly TRULY the thought that counts. We all just want to feel seen, known and loved!

I’ve rounded up thoughtful gift ideas at every price point to help you celebrate the moms in your life.

Under $20: Sweet & Simple

  • A handwritten letter or card ($0–$5)
Words matter. This is almost ALL I ever want: a heartfelt letter. Write her a heartfelt note she’ll want to tuck away and reread for years to come. Bonus points for including a favorite memory or what you’ve learned from her.

  • A bouquet from the farmer’s market ($10–$20)
Local blooms are always stunning AND they typically know how to arrange them (floral arrangement is an ART). Wrap them in brown paper or place them in a beautiful vase! I love this WHITE VASE HERE (great price point) and I’ve always been in love with THIS MONOGRAMMED VASE.

  • Her favorite treat + coffee ($5–$15)
Surprise her with a homemade baked good (if Addy tried to bake me pancakes, my heart would straight up MELT) or a box of her go-to chocolates or candies. Pair it with a latte or tea she loves, and you’ve just made her morning! I asked George to grab a few pastries from Stinson Breads in Opelika for Valentines Day is it was the ~ sweetest ~ treat!

  • Her favorite lip balm ($15-$25)

I really like my gloss from SUMMER FRIDAYS! It’s a little something to make her feel extra pampered when she’s on the go!

$25–$50: Pamper Her

  • New water bottle or tumbler ($25–$40)
A pretty, insulated tumbler (like a Brumate or Owala) keeps her hydrated in style and doesn’t spill—whether she’s chasing toddlers or heading to Pilates.

  • A cozy pajama set ($30–$50)
Soft, breathable, and cute enough for lounging all day. Look for matching sets from brands like Target’s Stars Above (the ONLY thing I wore when I was postpartum) or Lake Pajamas if you’re splurging.

  • At-home spa kit ($35–$50)
Include a face roller, a bath soak, a shower steamer, and a chill playlist. THIS KIT has everything you need (and is under $40!!). Add a note that says, “No interruptions allowed.” She’ll know what to do.

  • A hand-painted ceramic mug ($20-$45)

I recently visited Glazed Pottery in Auburn and made a handprint mug with Addy! Prior to having a child, I thought handprint mugs/plates/ceramics were kitchy. However, I NOW think it’s the sweetest keepsake. She won’t be little forever, so capturing her handprint as an 18-month old was priceless for me.

$50–$150: Treat Her

  • Massage or facial gift card ($75–$150)
Time to relax? Yes, please. Call her favorite local spa and grab a gift certificate—or better yet, book it for her so she has to go. I love love love The Spa at Grand National, because you get the whole spa experience (relaxation room, jacuzzi, IR sauna, etc). I also really love the Spa at the Laurel Hotel (views of Samford & a SWEET steam room).

  • A pretty necklace or bracelet ($60–$100)
Simple, wearable jewelry with meaning goes a long way. Think initial pendants/necklaces (THIS ONE is so cute, very dainty!), birthstones, or charm bracelets.

  • Brunch & blooms ($50–$75)
Bring over brunch (homemade or picked up) with fresh flowers. Add a mimosa kit if you want extra sparkle.

$100+: Spoil Her (She Deserves It)

  • A family photo session ($100–$400)
I realized not too long ago that I didn’t have any GOOD recent photos of me and my mom. So, when she was in town, I booked a photo session with my friend, Natalie. We took photos with Addy, so we could all have our “three generations” photos. It was SO SO sweet and I will cherish the photos forever. Truly a priceless gift.

  • An athleisure set from Varley ($100–$150)
Splurge-worthy comfort she’d never buy for herself. These matching sets will be EVERYWHERE this summer and for good reason. They look elevated but are comfortable enough to run around town (and chase kiddos) in. Varley has the SOFTEST fabric! I love THESE SHORTS and THIS TOP together. Varley is a splurge, so I found a dupe under $45 HERE.

  • A full day of R&R (Priceless)
Let her sleep in. Make her breakfast. Take the kids out. Book a spa appointment. Handle dinner. One of my friends requested a night in a luxe hotel by herself for Mother’s Day once and she invited me to the pool (it was INCREDIBLE). The gift of rest might be her favorite one yet.

Don’t Forget: It’s the Thought That Counts

No matter what you give, the key is to make her feel seen and appreciated. A $5 bouquet handed to her with love beats a fancy gift without the sentiment. So take a minute to write a note, give a big hug, and tell her what she means to you.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mamas out there—you’re doing the most important work, and we see you.
